Yoga for Type A's: How to quiet your inner critic

In this workshop, we will discover together a Mindful lifestyle principle that emphasizes the body as a moderator of mind. You’ve heard the common saying that “your mind affects your body.” For example, stress can deplete immune function, leaving us more prone to catch a cold. But just as the mind can affect the body, what you do with your body can also influence your mental state. When you understand how your body works, you can use the appropriate practices to generate positive states of mind.

Together we will build self-awareness through conversation, activities, and yoga. We will invite gentle observation and reflection and with this new awareness we will bring in strategies to allow for new patterns and choices to develop.

This pillar is all about deepening your capacity to pause, identify and explore your sensations as indicators of your inner-experience in any given moment. It’s about learning to trust, discern and respond to your body’s physical and emotional needs.

Mindful Eating 101: Transform your relationship with food through Yoga
